Katie Wasserstrom

I have worked for two Kansas City institutions, Hallmark Cards and Mariner Wealth Advisors. At Hallmark Cards, I was responsible for the financial viability of products sold to Hallmark’s largest retail customer. At the time, that business represented $1B in annual revenue. In my time at Mariner, I was involved in the pivotal, transformative years where I worked on everything from due diligence to the integration of more than 20 acquisitions. And I've done all of this while serving in non-profit / board roles to help lift up our community.

 

From all of this, I learned how much I value helping people navigate pressure, uncertainty, and growth in a way that is both strategic and human. That is what led me to found Elevate Your Business. I use what I have learned to help other business owners structure their business to support their goals, values, and passion. So many people start a business to do what they love, only to get buried in the financial, operational, and day-to-day demands of running it. I created Elevate Your Business to give back in a different way, different from my time working with nonprofits, but not less meaningful.

 

Outside of work, I am a wife and mother of two daughters. I currently serve on the elementary school PTA and I don't like to miss a soccer game. I am living a life that is aligned with my own values, which is something I also encourage the business owners I work with to do. What matters most to me is making a difference, lifting up the people around me, and building a life I am proud for my daughters to see.​
